Well, it is finally Fall! I have never looked forward to Fall as much as I have this year. We have had the hottest summer. Ugh! I really haven’t read this much this summer and I have no idea why. So I’m just going to choose five books to read this Fall and if I read more great!
So here are the five books I'm hoping to get me back into reading...I need to pick up the pace if I want to meet my goal of reading 50 books this year.
Lady of Milkweed Manor by Julie Klassen- Villette by Charlotte Bronte
- The Tale of Castle Cottage by Susan Albert
- Cottillion by Georgette Heyer
- By Darkness Fled by Jill Williamson
Oh, I love Georgette Heyer!!! And Lady of Milkweed Manor was such a great book!
ReplyDeleteThose are 5 books I'm not familiar with, so I hope you'll write more about them as you go! It has been ridiculously hot in Memphis this summer... it's my first summer here, so I hope they're not all THIS bad! But fall is definitely here, with much more pleasant temps. I love it! I could sit outside and read all day! (You know, if I didn't have 40 bajillion other things to do.) :) Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI think sometimes we just fall into reading slumps. I hope the challenge and your five books help you get back to reading! Thanks for being part of Fall Into Reading 2011!
ReplyDeleteI've read three of those books and the other two would make my list to read. I hope you make your goals. We all have slumps sometimes. So far I'm right about on target for my goals for the year. We'll see if that stays that way. {crossing fingers}
