It's Monday so that means it's time for Moggy Monday!! Today y'all get to meet my lovely Leo. When I lived at home I would feed all the strays that would show up and one day this pretty Calico kitty showed up so I started to feed her. Shortly after that I realized she had kittens...two little boys: a pretty little gray and white boy and a pretty little orange boy.
I remember the first time I saw Leo, he was following his mother (Sarah) who was coming over to eat but when he saw me he stopped and then bolted. He was so cute and had the biggest ears..as you can tell he has grown into his ears. I wish I had a picture of him when he was real little but I don't..well, none on my computer anyway. Anyway, I slowly befriended the two kittens and took them to the clinic to try and find them homes. Well, whenever I would go on the weekends to take of the animals I would give the kittens some canned cat food. Well, instead of eating Leo would want me to pet him and I soon learned that the other people at the clinic thought he was the mean one but to me he was the sweetest thing. They couldn't find them home so I brought them home and my brother and his wife adopted Leo's brother and I kept Leo. Sadly, their mom passed away a few months later. :(
Leo has to be one of the most trusting kitties I have ever had. I can pick him up and hold him like a baby and he'll just lay there and enjoy being babied. He loves to drink water out of the faucet and he also enjoys playing in the water. Weird, I know. But if I get a cup of water and kind of throw some out (in the tub) he will try and catch it. He will play that game forever.
When we moved into our home Leo didn't have a hard time adjusting but he didn't like the fact that he was no longer allowed outside. I live in the country and didn't want to worry about something getting my babies so they aren't allowed out. So he started "escaping"...if you weren't paying attention and opened the front door *zip* and he'd be out. Then I would be out chasing him down. Thankfully, he is also the only cat I've had that will come when you call him. Only I don't call his name I make this noise, kind of a "tsk, tsk" sound. But after I got married my husband found out I was wanting a cat fence (purrfectfence.com) and we got one for Christmas. :) The cats loved it and I loved that they were now able to go outside. You would think that would have stopped Leo from escaping but he still tries from time to time. Which is why he must wear a collar with a bell. ;) Once he got out at night and I couldn't get him and it was dark that I lost track of him. I was crying like a baby and my poor hubby didn't know what to do. lol Thankfully, Leo came back a few minutes later. Anyway, I hope y'all enjoyed meeting Leo.
